At the moment i'm experimenting on my new omnia... this is an lj app i've downloaded, but towards the bottom of the screen i've had to move from predictive text across to the onscreen keyboard because the phonepad covers the screen. oh well.
anyway i'm also uploading a picture i've taken of one of the pony's eye, to test out the camera.
I should probably try to get some sleep, but seeing as i took the liberty of my nap yesterday afternoon, and got a *little* bit of sleep last night, i'm actually not going too badly. Feel a little better emotionally, but I'll have to see how long that lasts.
Anyhoo, futurama just started, so attention must be paid. :D
I realise currently there are no seats to sit where you can stay with your baby, so i understand why you need to stand. But surely logic says you shouldn't be leaning against the doors, especially when the train is stopping at a station. So please don't glare at me because i tried to open the doors which caused the handles to dig into your back, and you to nearly fall out of the train.
Thanking you,
Me.
The rest of the messages are a combination of everyone else I know…
Granted those stats are based on messages both received and sent, and I was way too lazy to work out the sent/received ratio, but still.
I love my phone, what can I say.
On my way to toowong now, to get an eyetest done. I'm only four years overdue! Hopefully will be able to organise some new glasses, because these are seriously starting to annoy me. That's what i get for having close encounters with panes of glass though, i suppose.
Please bugger off. I've had enough of you.
Kindly,
Me.
It's been a week of stupid shifts (like starting work at 11, leaving work at 12, and then being back to work at 2, so I could go to one of said interviews), also a week of feeling bad because I realised that as much as I hate my job I really don't want to leave it.
Been much more involved with certain boys, it's a much more solid friendship than before, we tend to speak once or twice a day and then the rest of the time is spent with smses and the such. It's nice to actually have that friendship there as well.
Hmm what else has been happening? Mum and Dad have finally organised a holiday up here in July, they'll be staying with us for a few days, but they're not sure when. The rest of the time will be spent in Surfer's Paradise near the beach. Which means I get an excuse to come visit them and go to the Gold Coast.
I'm nearly finished my early shifts - next week I get a respite of 2-10 and then it's back to 11-7 again for a week. I'm quite liking the 11-7, it gets me home at a decent time and it's getting my sleeping pattern back on track.
I've been playing around with my phone more, found an application that lets me use the phone as a remote control for winamp, powerdvd, etc, which is pretty sweet. Will have to play with that more though.
Otherwise, meh. I'm at work, I'm bored, so I'm writing this. I might go do some actual work I guess.
So there I am, innocently watching my Law and Order SVU tonight, when my phone gives it's usual MSN tone. The following conversation occurs:
Random phone number: So do u taste like a rain drop
Me: Acid rain. Who is this?
Random phone number: This Brain bet ur not steph
Me: I bet you're correct there.
Random phone number: Sorry got the brush off hope ur not acid
Me: Depends on my mood. :) good luck tracking down this other person.
Random phone number: Looks like a self relief 2nite hope ur more rain than acid
So this guy (or girl, I suppose) has obviously been given the wrong number by some girl, and instead of going "oops" they try to pick me up via sms instead? I always get the weird and wonderful ones....
Oh, and spelling etc is all word for word, as I copied directly from my phone logs.
Here's hoping.....

Who wanted to work there anyway.
Happy birthday to me.
Happy birthday to Lauren.
Happy birthday to me.
At the moment sitting at work with a horrible headache, but at least it's a quiet night tonight and can sit here throwing paper at people. Not that I'd do that, of course.
But anyway.
I'm too tired to really give a proper update. Lots of boy stuff, work stuff, parental stuff, sister stuff, pony stuff, and howrse stuff.
We're being given lots of food - Ash and I told Cameron that the leader desks were too far away for us to walk to for food, so he brought it down to us! Yay!
Not that I'm counting, but another 3 hours and 27 minutes to go!
I applied for another job! It's $40000 a year plus super and bonuses, it's monday to friday and business hours. And it's more than just changing direct debit! It's faults and troubleshooting.....
So I emailed my resume through this afternoon, hopefully will get a response back soon.

So yesterday I got a response to my banking application.
I got 94% in the problem solving assessment bit. Which was good. That was the bit that I messed up by rushing it (long story).
But they rejected me.
Why?
Because the psychological analysis profile thingy I did said that I wouldn't fit into the call centre culture, that I would be better off trying for a different type of job. And have I ever considered a branch?
The only thing I can think of is between now and the last time I took that test, I've become bitter. :)
But meh. I had my emotional bit about it yesterday. Cried a lot (cause it's technically the first time I've ever been turned down for something like that!), and now I'm just annoyed at it - what a stupid reason to reject me, especially when they know I've got that call centre experience, and considering I did damn well with the actual problem solving.
Go figure.
Very glad I did. I got there and there was a Lexmark x1250 printer on the rack. Marked from $69 down to $30.01. It was perfectly fine, just floor stock and subsequently cable-less. It's a multifunction printer. Is also a scanner and fax as well. For $30.01!
I took it to the register. And promptly got $6 taken off. So I managed to get a (working) printer, scanner, and fax for the grand total of $24.01.
Score. :D
If all else fails then I can apply elsewhere / maybe looking external.
I got a customer compliment yesterday! On ... Tuesday? I think it was, I got a call from a lady who wanted a quote. Did that for her, then realised she was paying too much on her other policies so we went through that, and after 53 minutes on the phone to her, she had to go as her daughter called her and some emergency came up. She called back the next day, got sales, and they emailed me to call her back. I did so, and spent the next hour and a half on the phone going through the other policies making sure everything was correct, that she had all the correct discounts and just telling her about the policies.
She was just so nice to talk to, so chatty and stuff it didn't really bother me that I'd spent two and a half hours to the one person... and yesterday morning she called back at 7am to speak to Ashlee (one of our other PSSOs) and said that she was thrilled with my service and she wanted me to be appointed their permanent policy manager. :) Of course, can't really do that but still.... It was the best compliment I've ever recieved! According to the email, she was "so floored by the experience she was literally speechless". Yay for the boost to the self esteem. :)
